The 30-year-old scored three goals from seven outings during the recent tournament in Germany

Harry Kane is set to miss out on an emotional reunion with his old Tottenham team-mates following his recent exploits for England at Euro 2024.

The forward netted three goals during the recent competition in Germany but looked a shadow of the player that electrified the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich last term.

Kane moved to Germany from Tottenham last summer and bagged a remarkable 44 goals from 45 appearances across all competitions.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Bayern would face Spurs in a pre-season friendly in South Korea on August 3.

However, Kane won't be involved in the fixture due to being allowed some more time off.

"Harry Kane, Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano, and Kingsley Coman won't be there, but hopefully for the first cup game," said manager Vincent Kompany.

With England making the final of Euro 2024, Kane is set to spend some time on his holidays before returning to Germany for the start of pre-season.

He was signed by Thomas Tuchel last year but the German is now a figure of Bayern's past, having left by mutual consent earlier in 2024.

Bayern explored a host of appointments prior to bringing in Kompany.

Ralf Rangnick was expected to take the job for a time but the 66-year-old instead opted to remain in his post as Austria manager.

There was talk of Julian Nagelsmann making a stunning return, which eventually came to nothing.

And Roberto De Zerbi was overlooked, with the Italian instead preferring to take on the challenge of toppling Paris Saint-Germain over in Ligue 1 with Marseille.

Meanwhile, speaking last week, Kane admitted he was pained by England's defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final.

"It's hard to put into words how we're all feeling right now," he said.

"Tough game. We did well to get back into the game and struggled to build on that. To concede late on is really tough to take.

"We've been coming from behind all tournament, we've got it in the locker. We didn't take the next step and win it.

"Second half was better and we got the goal. We got caught with a cross and that's the final.

"It's an opportunity missed. These finals aren't easy to get to.

"You have to take it when it comes and we haven't done it again. It's extremely painful and it'll hurt for a long time."

He added: "Another tough moment for the team and for me personally.
