Harry Kane was subbed off late in Bayern Munich's 5-2 win over Darmstadt on Saturday.

Harry Kane will reportedly still report for England duty on Tuesday despite picking up an ankle injury in Bayern Munich's win over Darmstadt.

The 30-year-old was back on the scoresheet again for a record-breaking 31st league goal in the thumping 5-2 victory.

It's more than any player has scored in their first Bundesliga season having joined Bayern from Tottenham last summer.

However, the achievements was overshadowed by an injury concern to the superstar striker in the dying minutes of the match.

Kane collided with the post and had to be helped back to his feet before he was subbed off by Thomas Tuchel.

The Bayern boss confirmed after the match that Kane had twisted his ankle with concerns on the severity of the knock.

He added: “We don’t have any news yet. We’ll have to wait and see and hope that it’s nothing major.”

But Kane has still decided to make himself available for Gareth Southgate as England prepare to face Brazil and Belgium during the international break.

The Bundesliga club announced Kane would be heading to St George's Park to be evaluated by doctors.

There will also be a 'close consultation' with Bayern's medical department.

The Bundesliga club will be keen to have Kane back and fully fit for the resumption of the season at the end of the month.

Their first league match after the international break is against Borussia Dortmund as Tuchel's side attempt to chase down leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

Kane will also go up against old foes Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals at the start of next month.

But it's uncertain yet whether Kane will play any part in England's upcoming matches against Brazil and Belgium.

Southgate is already dealing with several injuries in his squad with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece James, Kieran Trippier, Curtis Jones and Jack Grealish all ruled out of the upcoming friendlies.

It's led to Southgate naming a new-look squad for matches against Brazil and Belgium with Jarrad Branthwaite and Anthony Gordon earning their first international call-ups.

The England boss admitted this week he's had to adapt to the injury woes, but feels it can be an opportunity for others to step up.

“We seem over the last few weekends to have lost two or three players every weekend, so we are inheriting issues that are apparent at some clubs at the moment," he said.

“But they are completely out of our control, and you have to adjust and adapt to make the best decisions possible once you are in that situation.

“And of course, it gives opportunities for other people to come in and stake a claim, so we are always looking at the positive side of it.”
