The Three Lions manager could walk away in the aftermath of his side's 2-1 defeat in Germany
Gareth Southgate is set to be offered a job as a pundit amid uncertainty over his England future, according to reports.
The 53-year-old oversaw his side's 2-1 defeat to Spain in the final of Euro 2024 on Sunday, with the Three Lions abject as they missed out on a first trophy since the 1966 World Cup.
Southgate indicated before the tournament that he would walk away from the England dugout should their pursuit of glory end in failure.
He was linked with Manchester United earlier this summer, though the Red Devils have since opted to stick with Erik ten Hag.

According to the Daily Mail, Southgate is set to be offered a punditry role by ITV. The broadcaster holds the former Middlesbrough star in 'high esteem' and would like to make him part of their coverage for the World Cup in 2026.
As things stand, his England contract is due to run out in December.
The FA would like Southgate to stay in his position, convincing he's the right man to finally end years of hurt.
But with the 53-year-old facing intense pressure, it's unclear whether he'll choose to sign a new contract or pursue a new adventure somewhere else.
Southgate and Roy Keane clashed during their playing days. Keane works at ITV, as well as Sky Sports.
But given he's been positive about the England boss, their previously tense relationship isn't expected to represent any issue.
Keane was, however, critical of England's performance in their defeat to Spain.
The Irishman said the Three Lions were 'found out', having scraped their way through to the final without ever playing at their best.
The 52-year-old said: "They haven't given their best the last few games, they got away with it. Eventually, they got found out.
"The best team won tonight, the best team won the tournament. Their record over the last 12 months has been fantastic.
"Spain have a lovely mix the way they play. They have a threat on the counter attack, they have youth, they have experience.
"They beat Germany, they beat France and they’ve beaten England."

Keane also praised Spain for their atittude and said England 'lacked quality' as their hopes of silverware came to an end.
"For all the talent they have got, I tell you, they work their socks off. They’ve got desire, they’ve got pride," he continued.
"It’s the biggest step for players and a manager to win something, A lot of England’s young players have been fantastic in this tournament, but they lacked quality.
"Fight, desire and options off the bench probably got them to the final, but top level sport is brutal. Sometimes the opposition are just better than you.
