Frank Lampard has claimed he would be 'a bit frustrated' with Kylian Mbappe after France's 1-1 draw with Poland on Tuesday.

Didier Deschamps' side went into the game expected to blow their opponents away and finish top of their group.

Mbappe, restored to the France starting XI after breaking his nose on matchday one, scored a penalty in the 56th minute to put his side ahead.

But Poland earned a draw through veteran Robert Lewandowski, who was starting his first match of the competition.

France are struggling to gel at present, with Deschamps' side looking a shadow of the team that won the 2018 World Cup.

And Lampard was critical of Les Bleus in the aftermath of the clash, while also accusing Mbappe of being greedy.

"Mbappe can make something out of any moment in the game," he said.

"He does some great things and I think they have a bit of an overreliance on him.

"I would be a bit frustrated with him though.

With France failing to overcome Poland, they've now finished second in their Euro 2024 group.

Austria finished top, with Ralf Rangnick's side securing a dramatic 3-2 win over the Netherlands to go through.

Rangnick's team took the lead in the sixth minute, with Donyell Malen scoring an own goal.

Austria went 2-1 up through Romano Schmid, only for Memphis Depay to net another leveller for Ronald Koeman's side.

But former Manchester United star Marcel Sabitzer bagged a winner in the 80th minute to spark wild celebrations among Austrian fans.

BBC pundit Danny Murphy was impressed by Austria and dubbed them a 'pleasure to watch' as they secured top spot.

"I didn't expect that at all," he said.
