Former France international Jeremy Menez was allegedly ejected from Anfield during Liverpool's Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
The 37-year-old travelled to England to support his former club in Tuesday's crucial last-16 tie.
However, according to Samir Nasri, Menez was asked to leave the stadium before the match reached its dramatic conclusion.
The incident meant the ex-PSG forward missed seeing his old team's eventual penalty shootout victory over Liverpool, which came after misses from Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones from 12 yards.

The alleged ejection has sparked controversy following what was an intense European encounter.
Former Premier League midfielder Nasri revealed details of the incident on French TV channel Canal Plus.
"A thought for those who were also kicked out of the stadium," Nasri said.
"Jeremy Menez was at the match, he was asked if he was French. After his answer, they told him to leave the stadium... in the 70th minute no less!"
The alleged questioning about Menez's nationality before his removal has raised eyebrows.

Neither team could find a winner during the remainder of normal time.
The deadlock continued through 120 minutes of play, with both sides unable to be separated.
The match eventually went to a penalty shootout to decide who would advance to the Champions League quarter-finals.
PSG emerged victorious in the shootout, securing their place in the next round of the competition.
Menez made 110 appearances for PSG across three years during his professional career.
During his time in Paris, he scored 19 goals and provided 37 assists for the club.
