Erik ten Hag is 'completely devastated' and 'ruined' after losing his job at Manchester United, it has been claimed.
The 54-year-old was relieved of his duties on Monday, less than 24 hours after his side had lost 2-1 to West Ham at the London Stadium.
When managers leave clubs, they normally release statements. But Ten Hag is yet to speak about his departure, having swiftly jetted off to the Netherlands.
Ruud van Nistelrooy is currently in charge of United on an interim basis, with Ruben Amorim all but confirmed as Ten Hag's successor.

Dutch pundit Hans Kraay Jr, who played alongside Ten Hag at De Graafschap, has now spoken about his compatriot.
Speaking to Humberto Tan’s talk show on Wednesday, he claimed the former United boss was 'completely devastated' and 'ruined' after being informed of his fate.
He said, per SoccerNews: “I understand that he is getting €17m and then people say: ‘he will go somersaulting through Manchester’.
"No, he is completely, completely devastated, he is completely ruined.”
Ten Hag has been handed £15million after leaving United.
He signed a one-year extension back in the summer, shortly after guiding the club to FA Cup glory at the expense of fierce rivals Manchester City.
But Kraay Jr says the money is of little consolation for Ten Hag.
"At the moment you don’t think about money. That will come later," he continued.

"I also don’t have the impression that I have to call him tomorrow to ask – can you still make ends meet, can you still get the groceries?
"Not that, but now he’s in trouble.”
It is currently unclear what Ten Hag will do. He said at the end of last season that, if United didn't want him, he'd go somewhere else and win trophies.
But his reputation has taken a knock after a tricky spell at Old Trafford, having left United sitting 14th in the Premier League table.

Amorim, according to widespread reports, is set to be named as Ten Hag's replacement.
The Sporting Lisbon boss has won two league titles managing in Portugal and is ready to move to Old Trafford.
He did say earlier this week, however, that he was yet to make a final decision on his future.
"Nothing is decided yet. I don't know if it's the farewell game or not," he said after Sporting's Portuguese League Cup win over Nacional.
