Serbia lost their opening group game to England and face Slovenia today to keep their qualification hopes alive.

Serbia have sensationally threatened to QUIT Euro 2024 unless UEFA hand out punishments to both Albania and Croatia after chants of 'kill the Serb'.

Albania and Croatia captivated Euro 2024 fans in one of the games of the tournament so far on Wednesday with the game ending in a dramatic 2-2 draw.

But the Serbian Football Federation have been left incensed after chants of 'kill, kill, kill the Serb' could be heard from the stands throughout the match.

Serbian FA General Secretary Jovan Surbatovic wants to see UEFA hand out strict punishments for both Croatia and Albania.

And he's even claimed that the Serbian national team are prepared to pull out of the tournament unless tough sanctions are dished out.

"What happened is scandalous and we will ask UEFA for sanctions, even at the cost of not continuing the competition," Serbian FA General Secretary Jovan Surbatovic said.

"We are sure that they will be punished, because they have already responded to our appeal to remove the so-called journalist from Albania from the championship.

"We will request UEFA to punish the federations of both selections.

"We don't want to participate in that, but if UEFA doesn't punish them, we will think about how to proceed.

"We were punished for the cases of fishing and our fans behaved much better than the others.

"One fan was fined for racist abuse and we don't want it to be attributed to others.

"We Serbs are gentlemen and we have an open heart, so I appeal to the fans to remain gentlemen."

A Kosovan journalist had his Euro 2024 accreditation confiscated after he was filmed aiming an 'eagle' sign in the direction of Serbian fans during their match against England.

Arlind Sadiku works for television channel Artmotion and UEFA ended up banning him from the remainder of the tournament due to 'misconduct at the match between Serbia and England'.

Serbian and Kosovo relations have been tense for several decades after the former declared independence from Serbia in 2008.

Both Albania and Croatia are among the Balkan nations to recognise Kosovo's independence.

Serbia and Albanian FAs were both fined £8,400 ($10,700) by UEFA on Wednesday for displaying banners with nationalist maps during their respective Euro 2024 games.

Serbia fans' banner included Kosovo's territory with the slogan 'No Surrender' during their match against England.
