The Three Lions lost 2-1 on Thursday night
After England's chastening 2-1 defeat to Greece in their Nations League clash on Thursday night, Thomas Tuchel has emerged as the new favourite to become the Three Lions' next permanent boss.
Lee Carsley is currently in charge of the team on an interim basis, having been appointed Gareth Southgate's temporary replacement earlier this summer.
England won their first two matches under the 50-year-old against the Republic of Ireland and Finland last month.
Yet they were comprehensively outplayed by Greece on Thursday, with the Euro 2004 winners securing a 2-1 victory following two second half goals from Benfica's Vangelis Pavlidis.

Carsley has long been considered the frontrunner for the job.
Yet that has now changed, with BetMGM installing Tuchel as the new favourite to take over.
UK Director at BetMGM, Sam Behar, said: “After Thursday night’s defeat to Greece, the money has come in for Thomas Tuchel to take over as England manager.
“Lee Carsley looked virtually home and hosed at 1/9 but the loss to Greece has seen him drift out to 7/4, with Tuchel the new favourite at 6/1 having been 16/1 yesterday morning.

“Pep Guardiola is another eye-catching market mover, with the Manchester City manager 4/1 from 11/1.”
Tuchel is one of the best managers in the world.
He started his management career with the likes of FC Augsburg and Mainz 05 before joining Borussia Dortmund in 2015.
Dortmund often had to go up against a brilliant Bayern Munich side during Tuchel's time in the dugout.

Yet he was still able to win 62.62 per cent of his matches, with the club winning the DFB-Pokal in 2017.
Tuchel's impressive work in Germany saw him appointed manager of Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain in May 2018.
He won two league titles during his spell in charge, while also steering the club to the final of the Champions League in 2020.
Tuchel departed in December 2020 and took the Chelsea job a month later.
