Mason Greenwood reportedly wants urgent talks with Thomas Tuchel as he refused to give up hope of playing for England again one day.
Tuchel was recently confirmed as Gareth Southgate's permanent successor, with the German poised to start work with the Three Lions in the New Year after signing an 18-month contract.
Greenwood played just once for England under Southgate, with his sole international appearance coming in a match against Iceland in 2020.
He was sent home from that camp in disgrace after inviting women back to his hotel room, along with Phil Foden, when coronavirus restrictions were in place.

Greenwood left Manchester United permanently back in the summer after a positive loan spell with Getafe.
He is currently shining for Marseille in France, having scored five goals in seven Ligue 1 matches.
Jamaica was keen on acquiring Greenwood, with the striker eligible to play for the Reggae Boyz.
But The Sun say Greenwood wants urgent talks with Tuchel, with the former United star yet to give up on his international career.
A source is quoted as saying: “Mason knows his chances of playing for England again are very slim.
"But he wants to check with the FA and Tuchel now he has been appointed, to see what they think.
“He is determined to play at the highest level and that means the World Cup.
“So if England don’t want him, he’ll switch to Jamaica and try and get to the 2026 World Cup that way.”
Greenwood was previously viewed as one of United's brightest prospects for the future.
He became a key player under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, scoring 35 goals from 129 appearances across all competitions.
In January 2022, Greenwood was arrested and charged with attempted rape, assault and coercive behaviour.
The charges, which the striker always denied, were later dropped - with the forward resuming his career in football.
