The former England boss waded in on his successor’s team selection for the Slovenia game.
The Three Lions have already qualified for the last 16, but a win would secure their position as the group victors.

“It’s about having a performance, lifting it and playing on the front foot.
“What I have seen is this slow, pedantic build up. Sideways and backwards passing. I have just watched Austria who beat Holland.

Despite calls for Southgate to make changes to his side, the England boss made just one for the Slovenia clash with Trent Alexander-Arnold making way for Conor Gallagher.
