The midfielder is reportedly set to earn £240,000-a-week over in Spain

England star Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly agreed to join Real Madrid when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The right-back has long been on Los Blancos' radar, having impressed with his performances at Liverpool for a number of years.

And the LaLiga titans now look set to land their man, with Sky Sports saying he's agreed personal terms with Real ahead of a summer move.

It's been claimed that Alexander-Arnold is poised to pocket a massive £240,000-a-week once he leaves Anfield behind.

Liverpool had been hoping to keep hold of their academy graduate.

However, that doesn't look like it'll be happening with Alexander-Arnold already having won every major trophy during his time on Merseyside.

Should the move go through, as seems inevitable, Alexander-Arnold will become one of the best-paid English players.

He isn't No 1 on the list, however, with that honour instead going to Harry Kane.

Kane earns a staggering £413,748-per-week at Bayern Munich, having played for the club ever since arriving from Tottenham in the summer of 2023.

His first year at the Allianz Arena saw the striker fail to win a single trophy.

However, Kane has more than justified his big pay packet - with the 31-year-old netting 76 goals from 82 matches for the club.

Second on the list is Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham.

Real spent big on the 21-year-old back in 2023, convinced he'd drive them on to new heights.

Bellingham was given a huge wage of £344,735-per-week to reflect his importance to the side.

Like Kane, he's also paid back his employers. The England international fired Real to LaLiga and Champions League glory last term as he lifted the famous trophy for the first time.

Manchester City's John Stones is paid £250,000-per-week at the Etihad Stadium, putting him slightly above of Alexander-Arnold.

LATEST SPORTS NEWS:

Declan Rice, like the Liverpool star is poised to do in his new surroundings, takes home £240,000-per-week.

Meanwhile, Liverpool fans on social media have criticised Alexander-Arnold amid talk he's agreed to leave the club.

One user wrote: "You can’t help if a player simply just wants to leave, but Trent Alexander-Arnold leaving for free is unforgivable in my opinion."

A second raged: "You can’t help if a player simply just wants to leave, but Trent Alexander-Arnold leaving for free is unforgivable in my opinion."

Another blasted: "Given what he’s won at the club, it’s understandable Trent would be tempted by Madrid.

"That said, it’s a slap in the clubs face that he will be going for free. Legacy damaging."

And a fourth hit out by saying: "No-one begrudges Trent wanting to go and face a new challenge, he’s won it all, but I think everyone agrees how he’s gone about it isn’t acceptable. He’s vice-captain at Liverpool, and he’s let his agent (his brother) run narratives for over a year in the media, whilst refusing to do any interviews.

"He’s massively tainted his legacy for 99 per cent of Liverpool fans, and it’s his own fault."
