Arsenal are set for huge changes behind the scenes after news broke of Edu's impending departure.
The Spaniard has helped oversee a huge overhaul at the Emirates since he first arrived as a technical director in July 2019.
He was appointed sporting director a few months later and formed a close working relationship with Mikel Arteta.
Edu helped secure the signatures of players such as Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice and Gabriel Magalhaes but there have also been some not-so-successful signings during his tenure.

Much like Jesus, Zinchenko helped bring a winning mentality to Arsenal at a vital point of their rebuild. Served his purpose.
Leandro Trossard - A
The kind of signing managers dream of. A bargain January buy compared to the £80milion-plus they were looking to spend on Mykhaylo Mudryk. Has scored some crucial goals since his arrival.
Jakub Kiwior - D
Signed as a back up to William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, but has failed to impress.
Jorginho - B
Another signing who helped bring a winning mentality to the Arsenal dressing room for a bargain deal.
Matt Turner - C
Someone Arsenal were able to make a small profit after just a year at the club.

Has been out in the dark for much of his Emirates career, but seen as a key member of Arsenal's midfield when fully fit.

Beat Manchester United to his signing and has proven to be a bargain as one of the finest transfers of Edu's tenure.

Another technically signed under Snallehi, but it was Edu who help guide Saliba's career before bringing him back to the club after three years out on loan.
They also got one over rivals Tottenham in signing the young centre-back in 2019.
