Premier League referee David Coote has been embroiled in a fresh scandal after footage emerged appearing to show him snorting white powder during Euro 2024.
The video surfaces just days after Coote was suspended by the PGMOL for making derogatory comments about former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
In footage obtained by The Sun, the 42-year-old official appears to use a rolled-up US bank note to snort a line of white powder in a UEFA-funded hotel room.
The video was reportedly taken on July 6, a day after the Euro 2024 quarter-final match between Spain and Germany, where Coote served as a support VAR official.
The Sun reports that Coote sent the clip to a friend, filming himself in his tournament accommodation.
The footage shows a bedside table containing prescription drugs, a credit card, and a copy of the Terry Hayes novel The Year of The Locust alongside the white powder.

This latest controversy follows Coote's suspension by the PGMOL on Monday after a separate video showed him making offensive remarks about Jurgen Klopp.
In that footage, Coote was filmed calling Klopp a "German c***" and "f***ing arrogant", while also describing Liverpool as "s***".
The comments appeared to reference a Premier League match between Liverpool and Burnley in July 2020, where Coote served as fourth official.

Both the Football Association and PGMOL launched investigations into the incident, with UEFA removing Coote from their match list for Nations League fixtures.
In response to the new allegations, a PGMOL spokesperson said: "We are aware of the allegations and are taking them very seriously.
