Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo has provided an update on Danilo after his serious injury in Saturday's 1-1 match with Bournemouth.
With just eight minutes on the clock, the midfielder went down awkwardly after challenging Antoine Semenyo for the ball in the air.
Medics rushed to help the stricken star, while security stood on the pitch holding Forest flags to protect his privacy.
He was then stretchered off after a lengthy delay to proceedings, with many fearful his season is already over.

Forest and Bournemouth drew 1-1, with Chris Wood's early goal chalked out by Semenyo with just four minutes left on the clock.
Nuno has now opened up on Danilo after the fixture at the City Ground.
And while they're yet to determine the full extend of the injury, the Portuguese has confirmed it's 'serious'.
"It's a tough moment for all, especially for Danilo," he said. "We don't know yet what has happened but we know it's serious.

"We're going to miss him as a player and a person. He is a top, top [player and person].
"Since last season he has been talented in the way he manages the game. He is a very good player so it is a tough moment. Everyone loves him in the dressing room."
Wood says he thinks Danilo will 'come back stronger' from the setback, with the striker admitting it was a traumatic experience to see a team-mate in such discomfort.
"It's not a nice one when a team-mate goes down on the pitch like that," he said.
"He is a great guy and loved by everyone, we will be here to support him in any way possible for him and the family and I know he will come back stronger.
"As footballers you just want to play a nice game and not have to worry about anything like that. It is not nice to see and we will support him.
"Whatever it is, he will come back stronger and come back a better man."
Semenyo has also spoken after the horror injury.

"I didn't think anything of it but then I got up and saw he was being stretchered off. Sorry to him and I hope he [Danilo] recovers well.
