Cristiano Ronaldo will turn 40 years of age in February next year.

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that Al-Nassr will likely be his final club before retirement 'in two or three years', but he has no desire for a farewell party from the Portugal national team.

Ronaldo has enjoyed one of the most successful playing careers in football history having won a multitude of trophies in Portugal, England, Spain and Italy.

He added another with Al-Nassr last year in the Arab Club Champions Cup and has his eyes on a Saudi Pro League title.

But, with his 40th birthday shortly after the New Year, Ronaldo has accepted that retirement is on the horizon.

He hasn't completely ruled out trying to make the Portugal squad for the 2026 World Cup with their qualifying campaign getting underway next year.

However, Ronaldo has no plans to try out another domestic league before he calls time on his illustrious career.

"I don't know if I will retire soon, in two or three years... but probably I will retire here at Al-Nassr," Ronaldo said on Portuguese TV.

"I'm very happy at this club, I feel good in this country too.

"I'm happy to play in Saudi Arabia and I want to continue."

While Ronaldo is still not ready to set a deadline on his own career, the Portuguese superstar has surprisingly confirmed that he won't give any warning to ending his international career.

"When I leave the national team, I will not tell anyone," he said.

"It will be a very spontaneous decision on my part."

And Ronaldo has no immediate plans to step into coaching when he does bring his playing career to an end.

"At the moment, I'm not thinking about being a coach of the first team or any team," he added.

"It doesn't even cross my mind, I've never thought about it.

"I don't see my future going through that."

Al Nassr got off to a slow start to the new Saudi Pro League season last week with a disappointing 1-1 draw with Al-Raed.

Ronaldo opened the scoring for Al-Nassr before Mohamed Fouzair levelled the game from the spot.
