Former football star Carlos Tevez is planning a farewell match in Buenos Aires where he hopes to reunite Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo on the same team.
The 41-year-old, who retired from football in 2022 after a successful career in the Premier League and Serie A, has started organising the event.
While no date has been confirmed for the match, Tevez has expressed his determination to bring together the two football legends who have won a combined 13 Ballon d'Ors.
The Argentine striker played alongside both superstars during different stages of his illustrious career.

In an interview on streaming platform Olga, Tevez confirmed his plans for the special occasion.
"Yes, I'm going to do it [farewell game]. I probably will do it. We just have to figure out when. It's not easy," he said.
When asked if Messi and Ronaldo would play on different teams, Tevez was clear about his vision: "We'll get them together."
The farewell match is expected to take place at Boca's iconic La Bombonera stadium.
Tevez appears confident about securing Ronaldo's participation, stating: "I'll go get him myself."

The former striker revealed he has maintained contact with both football icons since his retirement.
Tevez played alongside Messi in Argentina's national team for a decade, representing his country from 2005 until 2015.
His connection with Ronaldo came during their time together at Manchester United, where the duo enjoyed remarkable success.
At Old Trafford, Tevez and Ronaldo won six titles together, including two Premier League trophies.

They also lifted the prestigious Champions League trophy during their time as team-mates, with Chelsea beaten on penalties in 2008.
The striker had an impressive career spanning top European leagues before returning to his beloved Boca Juniors.
He eventually hung up his boots in 2022 after leaving an indelible mark on the game across multiple continents.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, is still going strong at the age of 40.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, however, thinks he will retire when Messi does so they can go out together.
"Football doesn't need Ronaldo at the 2026 World Cup," he told Gambling Zone.
"Ronaldo has been one of the best players for a long time; one of the best players in history. I think, at the moment, he’s doing himself more harm than good to be playing for Portugal still it’s impacting his legacy.
"And if you ask me, Messi or Ronaldo, I will always say Ronaldo because of what he had to do to get to that level and to stay there.

"We all know as footballers, and I know this really, really well from my playing time, there's a time when you come and there's a time where you need to go.
"I think his time had come a while ago, and he needs to give somebody else the opportunity."
The former Premier League striker added: "There comes a time when you have to hang the boots up. I think that time will come when Messi stops. I think when Messi decides to call it a day, so will Ronaldo."
