Chelsea are eyeing up a move for Liverpool star Joe Gomez and Trevoh Chalobah could go the other way, GB News understands.
Chelsea have been trying to offload Chalobah all summer after telling him he is not part of their future plans.
The defender was left at home before the Blues jetted off on their pre-season tour of the United States and there has been interest in his services from Bayern Munich and Manchester United in the past.
But the 25-year-old could be heading to Liverpool this summer with Chelsea interested in signing Gomez.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot left the 27-year-old out of the squad to face Ipswich Town in their Premier League opener at the weekend amid speculation over his future.
Aston Villa and Newcastle have been linked with the former Charlton ace this summer but GB News understands Chelsea are also in the race for his signature.
Gomez's versatility is seen as a huge bonus for Stamford Bridge chiefs and the ideal replacement for Chalobah, who can also operate across several positions in defence.
And in what has been a common theme this summer, Chalobah could end up going the other way to Anfield in a separate deal.
Chelsea have already utilised such a deal before this year after selling Ian Maatsen to Aston Villa earlier in the summer for £37.5million before signing Omari Kellyman from the club for £19m.
Conor Gallagher is also in the process of joining Atletico Madrid while Joao Felix looks set to sign, having already been in London for a medical this week.

While Chelsea are yet to make any sort of agreement with Gomez or Liverpool over a potential transfer, it remains to be seen whether Chalobah wants a move to Anfield.
However, considering that the Reds are playing in the Champions League this season and saw Joel Matip leave at the end of last season, it might be difficult for the Blues ace to turn down a switch.

Chalobah has made 80 appearances for Chelsea after making his debut under Thomas Tuchel in the Premier League on the opening day of the 2021/22 season.
The defender scored on his debut against Crystal Palace but has since had injury troubles which restricted him to just 17 appearances last campaign.
Gomez, meanwhile, enjoyed a career renaissance last season after some troubling years and played 51 times for Liverpool in all competitions.

Chelsea have been extremely active in the transfer window yet again and have signed Pedro Neto, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Filip Jorgensen, Aaron Anselmino, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley, Marc Guiu, Tosin Adarabioyo and Kellyman, as well as being close to purchasing Felix from Atletico Madrid.
