Chelsea could only draw against Nottingham Forest on Sunday

Chelsea's disciplinary issues have come to the fore following their 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues received six yellow cards during the match, resulting in a £50,000 fine from the FA.

This marks the second time this season Chelsea have faced such a penalty, having previously been fined £25,000 for accumulating six bookings in their 1-0 victory at Bournemouth last month.

The match also saw a mass brawl erupt when Forest's Neco Williams shoved Chelsea's Marc Cucurella into his own manager, Enzo Maresca, by the touchline.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca addressed the disciplinary issues, stating, "These things can happen.

"In terms of emotion, the team is fighting altogether and I don't think some of them lost their heads."

He acknowledged the need for improvement but praised the team's spirit, saying, "I like the team the way they are fighting. I like the way they are becoming a team in these kinds of things."

Maresca joked about the fine, quipping, "I am not going to pay it," before adding, "It is something we need to improve but overall, I don't see any problems about that."

The disciplinary issues have resulted in suspensions for Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana, who will miss Chelsea's upcoming match against Liverpool after the international break.

They are the first Premier League players this season to receive bans for accumulating five yellow cards.

Maresca addressed the suspensions, saying, "Fortunately we have the international break, time to see how we can organise.

"The good news is they [other players] are all ready [to come in]."

The manager remains optimistic about his squad depth, suggesting that other players are prepared to step in during the enforced absences.

Despite the disciplinary concerns, Maresca remains positive about Chelsea's overall performance and team spirit.
