Hazard was a strong fan favourite throughout his time at the club, where he was name Chelsea Player of the Year four times.
And that popularity was still evident when Hazard made his return to Stamford Bridge as part of Soccer Aid on Sunday.
The 33-year-old started for the World XI side alongside football icons Alessandro Del Piero, Patrice Evra, Petr Cech and Michael Essien.
For England, the footballers on the pitch featured David James, Gary Cahill, Jack Wilshere, Jill Scott, Ellen White and Joe Cole.
It was the latter who gave England the lead with a neat finish through the legs of Cech.
But Hazard brought the World XI level with a deft free-kick into the bottom left corner.
The former Chelsea winger wheeled off to celebrate in front of the Stamford Bridge crowd, rolling back the years.
And some Chelsea supporters clearly still feel Hazard could do a job for Enzo Maresca.
