Chelsea slip to Brentford draw, Tottenham beat Palace and Liverpool snatch late win - Premier League round-up

Fulham continued their impressive form with a deserved win over Brighton while Tottenham came from behind to beat Crystal Palace, West Ham saw off Everton and Newcastle cruised to victory over Wolves.

Brentford 2-2 Chelsea

Chelsea were accused of bottling last week's Carabao Cup final defeat to Liverpool by Gary Neville.

And the Blues threw away a 1-0 lead to slip to a 2-2 draw against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Nicholas Jackson put Chelsea ahead in the 35th minute, only for Mads Roerslev to level for the hosts in the second half.

Yoane Wissa then popped up to give Brentford the lead, only for Axel Disasi to step up to earn a point for Mauricio Pochettino's side in the 83rd minute of the match.

Newcastle 3-0 Wolves

Newcastle cruised to a 2-0 victory over Wolves to lift some of the pressure on manager Eddie Howe.

The Toon went into the game hoping to build on their penalty shootout victory over Blackburn in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

And goals from Alexander Isak, Anthony Gordon and Tino Livramento gave the home side all three points at St James' Park.

Isak was particularly impressive and he's now bagged 15 league goals this term, more than the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Dominic Solanke and Ollie Watkins.

Fulham 3-0 Brighton

Fulham continued their impressive form under Marco Silva and picked up a deserved victory over Brighton at Craven Cottage.

The hosts went ahead through Harry Wilson, with the former Liverpool winger opening the scoring in the 21st minute.

And Wilson then turned provider 11 minutes later, providing an assist for Rodrigo Muniz to double their lead, with Adama Traore adding gloss to the win late on.

Brighton were poor, however, and have now slipped to eighth in the league table after a flat performance in west London.

Tottenham 3-1 Crystal Palace

Tottenham scored twice in three minutes to rock Crystal Palace in their Premier League clash.

Eberechi Eze opened the scoring, with Palace initially looking on course to secure another big victory for new manager Oliver Glasner.

Tottenham were frustrated throughout the majority of the clash and Brennan Johnson missed a huge chance to draw Ange Postecoglou's side level.

Yet late goals from Timo Werner, Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min gave Tottenham the victory and boosted their hopes of finishing in the top four this season.

Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool looked leggy and jaded during their clash with Nottingham Forest.

But a late winner from Darwin Nunez gave the Reds all three points, with the Merseyside giants dreaming of Premier League title glory this season.

Forest felt they should have had a penalty following a foul from Joe Gomez towards the end of the match.

Yet Nunez struck late to give Liverpool the win, with Jurgen Klopp's side now four points clear of Manchester City in the race for the title.

Everton 1-3 West Ham

West Ham pegged back Everton to boost their own hopes of playing European football next season, with a late goal from Tomas Soucek setting them on their way to a huge win at Goodison Park.

Beto put the Toffees in front in the 56th minute following some good work from James Garner.

But Kurt Zouma levelled for West Ham after another magnificent delivery from James Ward-Prowse.

It was then Soucek who stole the headlines late on, with the Czech Republic international sparking wild celebrations in the away end after striking in the first minute of stoppage time, with Edson Alvarez also bagging to make the result safe.
