Chelsea have reportedly pulled off a surprise deal for Wolves star Pedro Neto.

Chelsea fans have been left amazed at the apparent speed in which the club sealed a deal to sign Pedro Neto from Wolves for their ninth signing of the summer.

The Blues have once again been the busiest Premier League club in the summer transfer window this year.

Aaron Anselmino became the club's eighth signing of the summer earlier this week with the 19-year-old signing a seven-year contract in a deal worth £15.6million.

He followed the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Filip Jorgensen and Omari Kellyman in joining Enzo Maresca's new-look side, although is set to remain with the Boca Juniors on loan for the upcoming season.

But Chelsea still aren't finished and have reportedly pulled off a surprise coup to sign Wolves winger Neto.

The Portugal international attracted plenty of interest from top clubs around Europe earlier this year for his performances in 2023.

Separate hamstring injuries derailed Neto's campaign after an impressive start to the season.

But the 24-year-old is still seen as one of the most talented young wingers in the Premier League and Chelsea fans are big fans of their next arrival.

One excited fan wrote: "What. A. Signing."

Another posted: "LET'S GOOOO."

A third said: "No Saga, no delay. We come we pay we move. That’s my Chelsea. Top work from our directors."

One other message read: "This is the fastest deal Chelsea have ever sealed. Unbelievable."

Another noted: "Best signing so far."

Neto's supposed arrival further adds to Enzo Maresca's array of options in the attacking position.

Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke, Mykhaylo Mudryk, Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku are already vying for the starting spots while the likes of Kellyman, Andrey Santos, Armando Broja and David Datro Fofana will also want chances to play.

Chelsea have one final pre-season fixture against Inter Milan on Sunday at Stamford Bridge before the new season begins next week.

Maresca faces a difficult start to life in the Chelsea dugout as he takes on reigning champions Manchester City.

They will also kick off their Europa Conference League campaign the following week in the first of their two-legged play-off.
