And Sky Sports say the Italian is expected to leave Real Madrid after the Copa del Rey final, against Barcelona, on April 26.

In a surprising twist, it means the LaLiga titans would have to appoint an interim manager for the final three matches of the season.

Ancelotti is set to become the next boss of Brazil, marking his first venture into international management, with a deal potentially set to be struck imminently.

He was linked with the nation last summer but opted to stay at Real, who recruited Kylian Mbappe from PSG.

“Arsenal were better than us,” he added. “We tried to do our best. Maybe the overturned penalty was a turning point. That could have changed it.
