Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has fumed at the decision to send off Evanilson in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
The Cherries went ahead through Antoine Semenyo, with the forward beating Andre Onana with a powerful low strike in the 23rd minute.
Yet after Bournemouth saw Evanilson dismissed, United proceeded to earn a draw through Rasmus Hojlund.
Evanilson appeared to slip as he tackled Noussair Mazraoui but was still sent off nonetheless, despite protesting his innocence.

And that has enraged Iraola, with the Bournemouth boss insisting that 'common sense' should have been used.
"Common sense. Everyone who has played football understands," he told Sky Sports.
"He slips. He doesn't catch him with the leg that goes high and the consequence is a red card.
"It is another three games without playing. The repercussions for us are huge.

"Of course we are going to appeal. It is common sense.
"In the first half Evanilson gets a kick in the chest by Casemiro. I don't think you should have a red card for this. But the VAR cuts the worst angle, the worst frame."
When told that VAR didn't tell the referee that Evanilson slipped, he added: "If you are telling me that then it is something very, very serious. It is difficult for us.
"We are in a worse position than the start of the weekend but we still have four games to play. Difficult games but we are in the fight.

"It is difficult to look in a positive way at the moment. We need a few hours."
United boss Ruben Amorim, meanwhile, was pleased with his side's fighting spirit as they secured a point.
He stated: “I think [we deserved it]. In the first half we suffered with their high-intensity press, but we created chances.
“We had quite similar chances near the box with a lot of shots. I think we deserved at least one point if you look at the game.

“If you look at our last games, it’s always like this – we do something to help the opponent get an advantage.
"Then it’s really hard to score goals, but the players did really well to get at least one point.
“We have the ability to push our opponents. There are small things I think we can do better.
"We need to understand these moments better, but if you look at the 20 minutes [after Evanilson’s red card], we had situations to score, which is really important.”
