England interim coach Lee Carsley has called up his first England squad
England interim coach Lee Carsley has left Ben White out after a youthful team as he named his first Three Lions squad.
The former England Under-21 boss has named some new faces to the squad for Nations League matches against the Republic of Ireland and Finland in September.
Despite Kieran Trippier's retirement on Thursday and England in need of another right-back, White will not be part of the squad.
It follows the Arsenal star's decision to refuse a call-up under Gareth Southgate after a feud that started at the Qatar World Cup in 2022.

Since then, White has not been selected for the Three Lions and Carsley has continued that policy.
It had been thought that a change of manager could see the former Brighton star return to the international fold.

But that does not appear to be the case after White made himself unavailable for selection for Euro 2024 and there appears to have been no movement from the player's side on that decision.
The right-back has been capped four times for England but it looks unlikely that he will add to that total for the foreseeable future.
Speaking in a press conference on Thursday, Carsley said: "As far as I'm aware with that, he wasn't available for selection.
"Nothing has changed in my two weeks of being here. That's where I'm at with it. I've seen in some of the press reports that he was open to it but it's gone no further."
White's decision to make himself unavailable for England selection has been a controversial one and it has sparked fury in some, including former Tottenham and QPR manager Harry Redknapp.
“I think Gareth Southgate said the door’s still open, didn't he? The door should be slammed right in his mush,” he told talkSPORT earlier this year.
“He doesn't want to play for his country, he goes to the World Cup then comes home because he’s not getting in the team.
“I’m sorry, you’ve had your opportunity. You don’t want to play for England?

Ben White has not been a part of the England squad since the 2022 World Cup

"You tell the Bobby Moores of this world who’s got 100-odd caps. The Shiltons, the Beckhams, the Rooneys – those people, go and tell the Billy Bonds of this world who didn’t get a cap and should have done, and all those great players that you don’t want to play for your country."
But White's omission is not the only brave call from Carsley, who appears keen on ushering in a new era for England by including some new faces such as Morgan Gibbs-White, Noni Madueke, Angel Gomes and Tino Livramento.
Carsley won the Under-21 European Championship in charge of England's young guns in the summer of 2023 by beating Spain in the final.
Some of the players that took part in that success are now included in the senior set-up such as Levi Colwill, Gibbs-White and Anthony Gordon.
And there was also a recall to the squad for Jack Grealish, who missed Euro 2024, though Marcus Rashford remains out of the set-up while Kyle Walker has also been dropped.

Carsley stepped up to the role following Southgate's resignation, two days after losing the Euro 2024 final to Spain in July.
It was the second final reached under Southgate, though the Three Lions failed to go one step further by winning a trophy.
England will face the Republic of Ireland in Dublin on September 7 before hosting Finland at Wembley on September 10.
