Arne Slot told 'honeymoon period is over' after Liverpool crash to Nottingham Forest defeat

Chris Sutton believes Liverpool's honeymoon period under Arne Slot is 'over' after they crashed to a shock 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The Reds had gone into the clash hoping to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
Liverpool were particularly impressive as they crushed Manchester United 3-0 before the international break following a brace from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah effort.
But they were brought crashing back down to earth on Saturday, with Callum Hudson-Odoi netting the only goal of the game.

It is the first time Slot has tasted defeat since replacing Jurgen Klopp back in the summer.
And while Sutton was impressed by Forest, he believes there's 'plenty of work' for Slot to do before Liverpool can challenge the league's best.
"Arne Slot's honeymoon period is over, plenty of work to do," he said on BBC Radio 5 Live.
"All credit to Forest, they were on fire.
"They defended brilliantly and then carried that threat. Nuno Espírito Santo making positive substitutions.
"Forest with the three points and they will be made up with the manner of their performance."
Liverpool fans on social media were unhappy with the result.
"Devastated performance from home," were the words of one user.

A second took aim at Slot's decision to substitute Diaz by saying: "Rubbish!! Why sub Diaz????"
A third stated: "Too sad to see this but we go again. This is why I hate international breaks because of the momentum drop.
"The players need to think about this deeply and sit up because the end products and final balls today were awful."
A fourth said: "S**t performance. None of these players deserve to get any praise, their decision making was just simply shocking."

And a fifth wrote: "Can't win them all. New manager. New system. New season. Disappointed at the way we lost but hope they learn from this. Might be good to get this loss early in the season and move forward."
While Liverpool will undoubtedly be scrutinised, it was a sublime result for Nuno Espirito Santo's side.
Forest had gone into the game with many expecting them to be blown away.
But they produced a brilliant defensive performance to emerge from the clash with all three points.

Hudson-Odoi, speaking after the win, said: "We knew as subs we would come on at a certain point, we had fresh legs to run in behind and cause them problems.
"The manager told us to make an impact and we are buzzing with the win.
"I saw the space in the far corner and as soon as I hit it I knew there was a good chance of it going in. We started well and we ended well.
"It is a massive win, the atmosphere is crazy. We made sure we had the right mentality from the begining. 55 years and now it's done but we can't rely on this."
