Manchester United were held to a dramatic 2-2 draw by Lyon in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday night.
Andre Onana's two costly errors allowed the French side to score both their goals, with Rayan Cherki's stoppage-time equaliser denying United victory.
The Red Devils had appeared set for a win after substitute Joshua Zirkzee headed what looked to be the decisive goal in the 88th minute.
The match had added spice after Onana had claimed United were "way better" than Lyon, prompting former United midfielder Nemanja Matic to label him one of the "worst goalkeepers" in the club's history.

Onana's words came back to haunt him in the 26th minute when he misjudged a wide free-kick from Thiago Almada.
The ball curled towards goal and after evading everyone in the box, bounced high into the net despite Onana getting fingertips to it.
United found their way back into the match just before half-time through an unlikely source.
Leny Yoro scored his first goal for the club in the dying moments of the first half, turning home Manuel Ugarte's volley with an instinctive header.
The young French defender, who joined United for £52 million last summer, was playing in his home country for the first time since his move to Old Trafford.

His equaliser ensured the teams went into the break level at 1-1.
Ruben Amorim made a crucial substitution in the 63rd minute, bringing on Joshua Zirkzee for the ineffective Rasmus Hojlund, who had earlier missed a gilt-edged chance.
The Dutch forward made his impact felt with just two minutes remaining in normal time.

Bruno Fernandes delivered a superb cross to the far post where Zirkzee rose highest to power home a header past Lucas Perri.
The goal sent the travelling United supporters into a frenzy as it appeared to secure a valuable away win - while Onana turned to the Lyon fans to celebrate, an action that would bite him back.
United's celebrations were short-lived, however, as disaster struck in the 95th minute.
Onana could only parry Georges Mikautadze's shot, fumbling the ball straight into the path of Rayan Cherki.

The Lyon substitute made no mistake, turning home from close range with virtually the last kick of the game.
It was a devastating moment for United, who were within touching distance of taking a lead back to Old Trafford.
The result extends United's unbeaten run in the first leg of major European knockout ties to 12 matches, though they will be disappointed not to take an advantage back to Manchester.
The two sides will meet again at Old Trafford next Thursday for the decisive second leg.
Despite the setback, United remain unbeaten in six meetings with Lyon, with three wins and three draws in their head-to-head record.
The Europa League represents United's only chance of European football next season.
