According to German publication Bunte, Schumacher's trip to Switzerland was 'planned anyway'.
The 56-year-old has been known to jet between the family's villa in Mallorca to their mansion in Switzerland in order to receive treatment.

Gina was born in February 1997, when her father was in the prime years of his racing career.
Schumacher and his wife Corinna Schumacher then had a son, Mick Schumacher, two years later.
In another Schumacher update, it recently emerged that, with the help of Corinna, he'd signed a special helmet for Sir Jackie Stewart.
The helmet in question features the distinctive Royal Stewart Tartan design, the same pattern worn by Stewart during his illustrious career in the 1960s and 1970s.
