The Formula One legend recently signed a helmet for Sir Jackie Stewart

A remarkable gesture from Michael Schumacher was revealed during the Bahrain Grand Prix last weekend, as the seven-time Formula 1 world champion added his initials to Sir Jackie Stewart's legendary helmet.

The helmet now bears signatures from all living F1 world champions after Schumacher inscribed 'MS' on the prized memorabilia.

The Stewart family was astonished when they discovered Schumacher's contribution, which was facilitated by his wife Corinna.

The addition of Schumacher's signature completes a unique collection on the helmet, making it an extraordinary piece of Formula 1 history.

According to Bild newspaper, the helmet was shipped to the 56-year-old German's location via DHL.

The charity organisation initially hesitated to approach the Schumachers, unsure if it would be disrespectful to make such a request.

"The charity organisation was initially unsure whether it would be disrespectful to inquire with the Schumachers," reported the German publication. "But the contact was made."

Corinna Schumacher played a crucial role in facilitating the signing, ensuring her husband could contribute to this collection of champions' signatures.
