Michael Schumacher, the Formula One legend who won a record seven world championships, has remained out of the public eye for over 11 years following a devastating skiing accident but, alongside his wife, he still boasts an impressive property portfolio.
The 55-year-old's illustrious career spanned from 1991 to 2012, racing for teams including Benetton, Ferrari and Mercedes.
His life changed dramatically in December 2013 during a family holiday in the French Alps.
Schumacher clipped a boulder whilst skiing, catapulting him head-first into another rock and causing significant brain injuries.
He was placed in a medically induced coma for six months before regaining consciousness in June 2014.
Since then, the sporting hero has been kept away from public view, with his family fiercely guarding his privacy.

The extent of his injuries has never been fully disclosed, and he has not been photographed since the accident.
Despite being worth an estimated $600m (£456m) today from his racing career and endorsements with companies like Shell, very little information has emerged about Schumacher's health status.
The Schumacher family owns an impressive portfolio of properties, including a £27 million villa in Majorca purchased by his wife Corinna in 2018.
The sprawling 160,000 square foot property on the Balearic Island was reportedly bought from legendary Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
Rumours circulated in 2018 that the family had moved there permanently, claims which Corinna denied at the time.

GETTYThese speculations intensified in 2020 when Elisabetta Gregoraci, ex-wife of Schumacher's former Benetton boss Flavio Briatore, made revelations on Italian television.
#"Michael doesn't speak, he communicates with his eyes," Gregoraci said during Italy's version of Big Brother. "They moved to Spain and his wife has set up a hospital in that house."
She added: "Only three people can visit him and I know who they are."
The Formula One icon amassed considerable wealth during his career, reportedly earning between £60m and £76m annually at his peak.
At the time of his accident, the Schumachers' main residence was a £50m mansion in Gland, Switzerland, situated on the shores of Lake Geneva.
The stunning property spans 15 acres and was built to the family's specifications in 2007.
Named Villa La Reserve, the four-storey complex overlooks the Swiss Alps and is secluded behind heavy forestry and specially built fencing.
It's here that Schumacher has continued to receive medical treatment since 2014.
The family has maintained extraordinary levels of privacy around his condition.
The family has successfully shielded him from public view, with no photographs of the racing legend appearing since his accident.
The Schumachers also own a spectacular horse ranch just north of Gordonville, Texas, which Michael purchased in 2012.
The property serves as an escape from the fame he experienced across Europe and the rest of the world.
Before the family acquired it, the land had been untouched for almost two decades and was home to roaming deer and bobcats.

The 400-plus-acre property features a state-of-the-art facility for raising and breeding horses, owned by Corinna.
Their daughter Gina, a professional equestrian, trains at the facility.
Son Mick, formerly an F1 driver for Haas, still enjoys the ranch as a retreat from public life.
"It's a retreat, a spot where I can do whatever I want," Mick told ESPN. "Not having the feeling that I'm observed or looked at."
He added: "We're in the middle of nowhere here, basically. If I go shopping here no one notices."
