Red Bull's investigation into Christian Horner is set to be concluded this week.

Ralf Schumacher doesn't think Max Verstappen will be affected by the investigation into Christian Horner so long as it doesn't change his relationship with his engineers and technicians.

Horner has been under investigation by Red Bull's Austrian parent company for several weeks now after allegations were made by a female employee about inappropriate behaviour.

The Red Bull team principal, who strongly denies the allegations against him, has continued in his role for the time being and was present for pre-season testing last week.

But a final decision is imminent with reports indicating the investigation will be concluded before the season starts in Bahrain this week.

It raises the question of whether Horner will still be in position at the start of free practice this week.

The uncertainty has caused disruption at Red Bull, but Schumacher doesn't feel any change in personnel will be detrimental to Verstappen.

"Because the right structures are there," he told the DPA news agency.

"There has been quite a bit of unrest in the team and we hear that there have also been problems behind the scenes.

"The question is whether people are so divided that they can no longer work together."

He added: "For Max Verstappen, who has real confidants in his father Jos and advisor Helmut Marko, it is important that nothing changes for him in his relationship with his technicians and engineers."

Schumacher goes on to explain that he believes Red Bull wouldn't need to work too hard to find an adequate replacement.

He said: "Then I see no danger to the team. I can imagine that someone else could also lead Red Bull Racing.

"Verstappen has been asked about the investigation into Horner in recent weeks and he's keen for a resolution to be found.

"I mean in terms of talking about that, it's not that suddenly sat here, that I can speak about things," Verstappen said.

"So it's better that I just focus on my own performance because that's already the day job.

"But I guess, of course, for everyone, it's nice, of course, when things are resolved. But that's the only thing that I can say about that.

"Everyone who is here, they're all focusing on the performance of the car, as they should.

"Everyone knows their role and everyone is very focused on trying to make the whole package faster."

Red Bull are the strong favourites heading into the new season and their RB20 appears to be even stronger than its predecessor.

The focus will be on the rest of the pack to see whether they've managed to close the gap to Red Bull after a disappointing campaign for Ferrari, Mercedes and the rest.
