According to Corriere della Sera, Schumacher is now expected to attend his daughter's wedding later in the year.
Gina-Maria Schumacher and her boyfriend, Iain Bethke, are poised to wed this summer.
The wedding due to take place at a mansion owned by the family in Spain.
The property was purchased by the Schumachers in 2017 from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
It is already equipped with the specialist equipment needed to take care of Schumacher.
And the publication says that Schumacher is expected to be in attendance to watch the biggest day of his daughter's life.
A wedding planner is already working ahead of the ceremony.
German newspaper Bunte have said that Schumacher's privacy will be maintained should he go.
The family are in the process of hiring a security team that will ensure no photographs of the 55-year-old leak out.
Last month marked 10 years since Schumacher's accident, with several new details emerging.
He is reportedly cared for by a team of 15 doctors, nurses and masseurs to ensure he's comfortable.
Schumacher has also apparently been driven in a Mercedes car in the hope familiar sounds will aid his recovery.
His brother Ralf, meanwhile, said last month that he misses the way his sibling was before tragedy struck.
“I miss my Michael from back then,” Ralf told Bild.
"Life is sometimes unfair.

"We haven’t heard much from the family and understandably so.
"That has always been very much a part of Michael and the family’s way to keep everything very private, very secretive.
"That has carried on from his racing days.
"I don’t feel things have moved on in a way that many of us who knew him and many of his fans around the world want to see.
"They’d love to know, we’d all love to know that things are moving on in a positive way.
"But because we don’t have any information, we can only assume that he is not yet in a position where there is a chance of a recovery."
