The Stevenage-born racer has opened up on his diet

Lewis Hamilton has joked about his increased pizza consumption since joining Ferrari, admitting concerns about fitting in his car for the 2025 season.

"Oh God. I've eaten so many pizzas in the last few weeks," the seven-time world champion revealed. "Last week alone I had three pizzas."

Despite his indulgence in Italian cuisine, Hamilton surprisingly noted: "But funnily enough, I've lost weight."

"I have to be careful and I can't eat pizza all year round. Otherwise I won't fit in the car anymore," he quipped.

Hamilton's move to Ferrari was confirmed in February 2024, marking a significant shift after 12 seasons with Mercedes.

The British driver signed a multi-year deal worth £50million per year, replacing Carlos Sainz Jnr to partner Charles Leclerc.

His official tenure with the Italian team began on January 1, 2025.

Since then, the 40-year-old has been spending considerable time at Ferrari's headquarters in Maranello, Italy, where his love affair with Italian cuisine has flourished.

The Brit holds particularly fond memories of his first mechanic. "I remember that Luca del Fante, my first mechanic, and his mother always made me an incredible lasagne. I have never forgotten that lasagne to this day."
