Lewis Hamilton will have a new race engineer next year at Ferrari.
Lewis Hamilton has warned Ferrari that he will not be afraid of pushing for a new race engineer if he fails to get along with their first pick when he joins next year.
Mercedes promoted Peter 'Bono' Bonnington this week to become their new head of race engineering, preventing Ferrari from potentially snapping him up to continue working with Hamilton.
Bonnington and Hamilton have been working together at Mercedes for 12 years since the latter joined in 2012.
The race engineer has become synonymous with Hamilton's illustrious career and is one of the most recognisable voices in the sport.
