The former Spice Girl is set to open her doors to a new reality series documenting her life

Geri Halliwell is in discussions with television production companies to star in her own reality series.

The former Spice Girl, 52, is exploring a programme that would offer viewers a glimpse into her behind-the-scenes life.

The talks come in the wake of her husband Christian Horner's sexting scandal last year, from which the Red Bull F1 boss was cleared of misconduct.

A reality show would mark a return to the spotlight for Halliwell, who has maintained a relatively low profile in recent years.

A TV source told reporters: "Geri has taken a step back from the limelight in recent years but she has been talking about a reality series which would show what goes on behind the scenes in her life."

The insider added: "Geri is a fascinating character and of course it would be done in a classy way. She is hilarious and leads a very interesting life."

The potential series would showcase the entertainer's day-to-day activities in what sources describe as an upmarket format.

It is not yet clear whether Horner, 51, will make appearances in the proposed show.

However, the couple's seven-year-old son Monty is unlikely to feature as they are known to carefully guard his privacy.

The reality series would offer a rare glimpse into Halliwell's world, which has largely remained private in recent years despite her previous fame as part of Britain's most successful girl group.

The format would likely focus on Halliwell's personal projects and day-to-day activities.

Halliwell was reportedly humiliated last year when her husband was accused of exchanging WhatsApp messages with a female colleague at his Formula 1 team.

The messages were later made public via an anonymous email account, causing significant distress.

Horner, who has led Red Bull Racing to multiple championships, was subsequently cleared of misconduct following an internal investigation by the team.

The scandal created unwanted headlines for the couple, who have generally maintained a private family life away from the tabloids.

The talks come as plans for a Spice Girls comeback appear to be on hold.

Reports suggest Halliwell is not keen to participate in the reunion project that fellow bandmate Melanie Brown has been championing.

At 52, Halliwell seems to be charting her own course in the entertainment industry rather than revisiting her pop star roots.

The potential reality series would mark a significant shift in direction for the star, who has largely stepped away from public life in recent years.
