The Spice Girls star is ready to stand by her husband

Geri Halliwell was reportedly left in 'floods of tears' after allegations were made against husband Christian Horner over the weekend.

Horner is currently the focus of a probe, with Red Bull looking into the 50-year-old amid allegations of 'inappropriate behaviour'.

The F1 chief denies any wrongdoing and said on Monday: "I completely deny these claims."

News of the allegations rocked the world of Formula One yesterday and, now, The Sun say Geri has been left in 'floods of tears' as a result.

A source close to Ginger Spice is quoted as saying: “Geri has been in floods of tears all weekend while looking after her kids.

“She is insisting Christian has done nothing wrong.”

Geri is set to stand by Horner, with the pair previously marrying in Bedfordshire back in 2015.

Other reports have claimed the 51-year-old has been left 'devastated' by the allegations against her husband.

Red Bull have confirmed they're launching an investigation into the matter with an independent lawyer involved in the proceedings.

“After being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation," they said.

“This process, which is already under way, is being carried out by an external specialist barrister.

“The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practically possible.

“It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.”

The report says the Red Bull chief was 'locked in an F1 Commission meeting all day yesterday'.

And a Red Bull Racing source has claimed Horner will not be addressing the claims so the investigation can be 'respected'.

They added: “Nothing further is being added to ensure the integrity of the investigation is respected.

“Christian has issued a denial and we’re hoping for a swift and speedy resolution.”

Horner has been in charge of Red Bull ever since 2005, becoming the youngest ever team principal in F1 history at the time.

He helped Sebastian Vettel win four F1 titles between 2010 and 2013 during the German's time in the sport.

And Horner has also played a key role in Max Verstappen dominating the sport over the past three years.

Speaking recently, meanwhile, the Red Bull chief warned his drivers that the competition will be tougher this year as they look to secure another crown.

Mercedes and Ferrari have both made improvements as they look to close the gap on their rivals.

And Horner said: “I’m fully expecting with stable regulations, [there’ll be] diminishing returns for us, because I think we got to the top of the curve quicker than others.

“The field is going to converge. For us, it’s difficult to know who that will be.

"Will it be McLaren? Will it be Ferrari? Will it be Mercedes? It keeps moving around behind us.

"But that’s what we’re fully expecting going into [this] year.”
