The duo were both in Bahrain for Saturday's Grand Prix in the Middle East

Footage has emerged of Christian Horner gesturing to Jos Verstappen during an animated chat between the pair at Saturday's Bahrain Grand Prix.

It comes amid reports the pair had a 'blazing row' on Friday after qualifying, with the duo's relationship seemingly broken.

Max Verstappen won the race in Bahrain, with the 26-year-old securing glory ahead of Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez.

Jos has, however, since criticised Horner in an interview with the Daily Mail.

The 51-year-old has warned Red Bull risks 'exploding' if Horner continues to stay in his position of team principal.

He has also claimed Horner is 'playing the victim' when the 50-year-old is the one 'causing the problems' for the F1 side.

Sky Sports have now uploaded footage showing Horner and Jos having an animated chat during Saturday's main event in the Middle East.

Horner can be seen moving his arms around and gesturing, though it's not known what the pair were discussing.

The Red Bull chief continues to deny allegations of misconduct but the controversy surrounding the Briton isn't going away.

After being cleared by Red Bull, alleged text and WhatsApp messages sent by Horner to a female employee were leaked to 149 figures associated with the sport.

They included team principals and journalists.

Horner was joined by wife Geri Halliwell for the race in Bahrain, with the couple putting on a united front.

A source has told The Sun, however, that Geri 'read Horner the riot act' after the alleged messages were leaked, while it was also claimed friends were 'astonished' by her decision to join her husband for the big race.

An insider is quoted as saying: “A lot of people who know her are astonished by this show of support.

"There is absolutely no doubt she is furious and has read him the riot act over what has happened.

“There are questions about her future with him and she let him know in no uncertain terms.

"It’s uncertain whether their marriage will survive but she is giving it a good chance by showing him support, at least in public.

“But deep down she must be hurt, humiliated and very, very angry.

"However, this does at least show she hasn’t gone nuclear and run to the first expensive divorce lawyer she can find.”

They added: “The texts leak moved the goalposts — and Geri was furious about it.

"When Christian first told her about the situation, he said he had fallen out with a woman who wanted promotion and more responsibility in Red Bull.

"So he sold it to Geri as a workplace row and she accepted that. So Geri is now fuming that there appears to be more to this.”

Horner is confident of keeping his position at Red Bull.

"Absolutely," he said after the race. "I wouldn't be here otherwise."

Horner also thanked Geri for her support, admitting it has 'not been pleasant' for the couple.

“Obviously it’s not been pleasant. The unwanted attention, but the focus is now very much on the cars," he said.

"My focus has very much been on what’s going on on track and the result today I think demonstrates where the whole team’s focus is and we move onwards.”

Horner, as things stand, is set to remain at Red Bull ahead of Saturday's Saudi Arabia Grand Prix.
