Christian Horner was reportedly struggling to avoid the female Red Bull employee who accused him of misconduct at work prior to the F1 side suspending her.

Horner was cleared of inappropriate behaviour 10 days ago, with Red Bull confirming he would remain as team principal.

The team have suspended the woman who made the allegations of misconduct claims Horner has always denied.

And The Sun say that Horner, who is currently in Saudi Arabia ahead of today's Grand Prix, was struggling to avoid his accuser while going about his business at the team's headquarters in Milton Keynes.

The employee in question, who hasn't been named, is receiving full pay while inquiries continue behind the scenes.

Horner is set to be joined by wife Geri Halliwell for today's race in the Middle East, with the pair poised to put on another united front.

Geri stood by Horner's side in Bahrain last weekend as Max Verstappen cruised to victory in the first race of the new F1 season.

The report says the female employee who accused Horner had wanted to continue working in 'regular contact' with her team boss at the team's headquarters.

It is currently unclear what will happen next.

Adding to the drama on Friday were claims that Helmut Marko could be suspended.

The 80-year-old is held in high regard by Verstappen, who has made it clear he wants the Red Bull advisor to stay.

Red Bull have played down claims of Marko potentially being suspended as the saga continues to rumble on.

But the Austrian, speaking to ORF, did admitted that such a possibility 'exists'.

"It's difficult to judge, or let's put it this way, ultimately, I'll decide for myself what I do," he said.

"The theoretical possibility always exists.

"It's such a complex issue. Again, we want peace in the team.

"This world championship will be difficult enough with 24 races and we have to concentrate on that."

Verstappen has made it clear he's happy at Red Bull, having won the last three titles with the F1 side.

He did, however, admit that Marko leaving would 'not be good for my situation', while calling for the 80-year-old to stay in his role as an advisor.

"It's very important that he stays within the team," he said.

"If such an important pillar falls away, that's not good for my situation as well. So, for me, Helmut has to stay, for sure."

He added: "My loyalty to (Marko) is very big.

"I've always expressed this to everyone within the team, everyone high up, that he's an important part in my decision-making for all the time in the future as well within the team.

"He has built this team together with Dietrich from day one, and he's always been very loyal to the team, to everyone within the team, to make sure that everyone would keep their positions already from back in the day.

"And I think it's also very important, of course, that you give the man a lot of respect for what he has done.

"And that comes back also to loyalty, you know, and integrity."

Horner was asked about the suspension of the Red Bull employee on Thursday.

He said he can't really comment on the matter, though did admit he was keen for everybody to move on.

"Obviously there's been an awful lot of coverage surrounding this. But one has to go back to the basis that a grievance was raised, it was investigated, and it was dismissed.

"Obviously it's been of great interest but I think it is time now to draw a line under it."
