Luke Littler beat Luke Humphries 6-1 on Thursday night in the Premier League night eight final in Newcastle

Luke Littler has strengthened his grip on the Premier League Darts table with a commanding performance on night eight in Newcastle.

The 18-year-old world champion secured his fourth victory of the 2025 campaign with a dominant 6-1 win over Luke Humphries in Thursday's final.

Littler's triumph extends his lead at the top of the standings to eight points over second-placed Humphries.

The teenage sensation has now reached five consecutive weekly finals in this year's competition.

With 26 points at the halfway stage of the league phase, Littler has already amassed a tally that would have guaranteed a play-off spot in last year's tournament.

Littler was in devastating form throughout the night at the Utilita Arena.

He began with a ruthless 6-0 demolition of Stephen Bunting in his quarter-final match.

The teenager won the first nine legs he played in Newcastle, continuing his perfect start by racing to a 3-0 lead against Rob Cross in the semi-finals.

Littler eventually secured a 6-3 victory over Cross to book his place in the final.

Meanwhile, Humphries ended his run of three consecutive Premier League defeats by overcoming hometown favourite Chris Dobey 6-3.

The world number one then edged past Nathan Aspinall 6-5 in a high-quality semi-final to set up the showdown with Littler.

The final proved to be another masterclass from Littler, who immediately seized control against his rival.

He punished Humphries for missed doubles to race into a commanding 4-0 lead with legs of 15, 15, 17 and 16 darts.

Humphries briefly fought back, breaking Littler's throw to get on the scoreboard at 4-1.

However, the world champion quickly reasserted his dominance after Humphries missed two darts to hold in the next leg.

Littler moved to within one leg of victory with a 16-darter finished on tops.

He then closed out the match in style, producing a stunning 106 checkout to complete his comprehensive 6-1 win.

Littler now sits comfortably at the top of the Premier League table with 26 points, eight clear of Humphries in second place.

Cross and Aspinall boosted their play-off hopes with crucial quarter-final victories on the night.
