The teenage star recorded four nine-dart finishes throughout the year, with one coming in his 11-7 triumph over Luke Humphries in the Premier League final.

His achievements place him in elite company, as only the fourth player in PDC history to win 10 or more titles in a calendar year, joining Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright.

Littler's dominance at the awards was further highlighted by his Village Hotels fans' player of the year victory, securing nearly 50 per cent of votes from thousands of fans.

His peers also recognised his exceptional talent, with Littler winning the PDPA Players' Player of the Year award through a majority vote from fellow professionals.

The world champion completed his awards sweep by claiming both the Winmau young player of the year title and the Vanquis best newcomer award for top performing new tour-card holder.

Following his World Championship victory, Littler was invited to parade his trophy at Old Trafford during Manchester United's match against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The darts champion described showing off the Sid Waddell Trophy at the stadium as "probably one of the best moments of my life and will live with me for ever."

During the match, Littler had the opportunity to meet Sir Alex Ferguson, stating: "I sat behind Sir Alex Ferguson and was chatting to him for a bit, which was good. It's one of the best things I have ever done."

The teenage star offered advice to Manchester United's struggling squad, urging them to "just don't listen to social media — that's one of the big things."

Littler drew distinctions between individual and team sports, noting: "In the football world, it's totally different. You have to keep your head down. When it's a darts game, you are on your own."

"When it's United, you have a whole team around you, so must stick together," he added, addressing a United side currently sitting 13th in the Premier League.
