Luke Littler was unstoppable yet again in the Premier League as he hit a perfect leg

Luke Littler stunned the Cardiff crowd with a perfect nine-dart finish on his way to defeating Michael van Gerwen 6-4 in the Premier League darts final.

The 18-year-old sensation produced the moment of magic in the fourth leg of Thursday night's showdown at the Utilita Arena.

The victory marks Littler's third Premier League night win of the season, further extending his lead at the top of the table.

Littler achieved perfection in the fourth leg by checking out 141 to complete his nine-darter.

Rather than following the traditional T20-T19-D12 route, the teenage star opted for an alternative path of T20-T17-D16.

The unorthodox choice made no difference to the result as Littler executed flawlessly.

The Cardiff crowd erupted in celebration as Littler punched the air in front of them, marking one of the tournament's most memorable moments.

The Dutchman responded by holding throw in the fifth leg before breaking Littler to level the match at 3-3.

Despite this comeback, Littler would ultimately break throw to go 5-4 up before securing victory.

The teenage sensation then dispatched Rob Cross with an even more convincing 6-2 scoreline to reach the final.

This latest triumph further cements Littler's position as the youngest champion in the sport's history, having defeated MVG in January to claim that record.

The nine-darter earned Littler more than just the victory, as tournament sponsor BetMGM had announced a special prize for such achievements.

For his perfect leg, Littler will receive a set of 18ct solid gold darts worth £30,000 each.

The unique reward was established at the start of the season, with any player throwing a nine-darter eligible to claim the valuable prize.
