Littler's evening began with boos from the Newcastle crowd as he walked out for his opener against Stephen Bunting.
The Manchester United fan responded defiantly by pointing his finger to his ear.
Despite the hostile reception, Littler had support from Newcastle United defender Dan Burn, with the Magpies hero spotted singing and dancing at the start of the night.
When Littler hit his first maximum with his very first visit to the oche, his response to the crowd was telling.

He simply looked to the side and nodded his head, letting his darts do the talking.
Littler had begun the evening on 92 maximums from the first seven nights of Premier League action.
This was more than double the tally of his nearest rival Luke Humphries, who had 44, with Michael van Gerwen in third place on 39.
By the time Littler reached his century, Humphries remained far behind on 45 and MVG on 43.
Against Bunting, Littler added five more 180s to reach 97 maximums.
The magical 100 mark came during his semi-final against Rob Cross, when he hit two 180s in quick succession.
By the end of the night, Littler had increased his total to 102 maximums.
Littler's performance throughout the night was nothing short of dominant, beginning with a 6-0 destruction of Stephen Bunting.
During that match, he averaged around 110, finishing with a brilliant 110 checkout.

In the semi-final against Rob Cross, Littler raced to a 3-0 lead before Cross managed to get on the board.
Littler eventually secured a comfortable 6-3 victory over Voltage.
The final against Humphries proved equally one-sided, with Littler cruising to a 6-1 win in what was described as a "tired-looking final."
This completed a perfect night for the teenage sensation.
