Luke Littler has revealed Luke Humphries told him he was 'tired' after the 18-year-old beat his darts rival to win night eight of the Premier League on Thursday.
The teenager is the defending champion, having secured glory in the same competition last year.
And Littler is currently the clear favourite to reign supreme once again, with the prodigy thumping Humphries 6-1 last night to clinch his fourth nightly win.
The result means the youngster is eight points clear of the world No 1 at the summit, with Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price also making up the top four.

After his victory, Littler opened up.
The teenager revealed that Humphries had informed him he was 'tired' during the match, with the 30-year-old playing far more than his young rival in recent weeks.
Littler said: "I'm happy with my performances tonight, obviously drifted off towards the end.
"Feeling a bit tired but I'm just glad to get over that winning line in the final.

"Going into the semi-final I knew I was three or two 180's away (from 200), I think coming into tonight I was top on 92 and Humphries was second on 44 and it just shows how well my power scoring is.
"My normal throw that I was throwing with I just felt tired so I changed it up a bit.
"After the match Luke said he was tired but I just had to stick in there."
Littler then aimed a dig at Humphries.

The darts star said the world No 1 currently 'shows too much' when playing, something that boosts Littler's confidence at the oche.
He continued: "I think that goes to show how everyone does say I'm the best in the world at the minute but you know me I'll never really say I'm the best in the world but I'm performing better than these guys so maybe I should be saying I'm best in the world. But we'll just see how it goes.
"For myself when I'm playing certain players I know when I've got them and it goes to show.
"Luke Humphries he shows a bit too much and as a player you're like he's at 60 or 41 and he's not happy about it then his next throw he is the same score so you just have to pounce.
