The 18-year-old has already amassed a fortune from his success in darts

Teenage darts sensation Luke Littler has revealed his ambition to buy National League North side Warrington Town football club.

The 18-year-old millionaire, who claimed the PDC World Championship title in January, is considering investing in his local team in the coming years.

Littler's interest in football club ownership follows his meteoric rise in professional darts, which has seen him secure multiple victories in 2025, including his World Championship triumph.

The young star, known as 'The Nuke', is looking to make a modest start in football ownership rather than following the path of big-spending celebrity investors.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Littler outlined his vision for the football club: "It would be an investment for myself in the coming years."

"I've got a local team. Warrington Town, who are in National League North... Maybe that could be an idea for the future," the darts champion added.

The investment would mark a significant step for the teenage star, who has already accumulated substantial earnings from his recent tournament victories.

His interest in Warrington Town demonstrates a desire to invest in his local community, with the club currently competing in the sixth tier of English football.

Should Littler pursue football club ownership, he would join an elite group of celebrity investors in the sport.

Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds and actor Rob McElhenney have already demonstrated the potential of such investments through their transformation of Wrexham.

NFL stars Tom Brady and JJ Watt have also ventured into football ownership with stakes in Birmingham and Burnley respectively.

Littler's connection to Warrington extends beyond football, as the local rugby league side Warrington Wolves will rename their stadium the Luke Littler Stadium for their Super League opener against Catalans Dragons on February 21.

The darts champion will serve as guest of honour at the match, leading both teams onto the pitch.

Meanwhile, darts legend Michael van Gerwen has criticised Littler for his late arrival at a Premier League media event in Belfast.

The teenager admitted to oversleeping after taking a morning nap, keeping his fellow competitors waiting.

Van Gerwen was particularly critical of the young star's behaviour, stating: "They need to stop treating him as a baby. He's not a baby any more. It's a professional sport so you have to be responsible for your actions as well, simple as that."

The pair are set to meet at the oche on Thursday evening, marking their third encounter of 2025, with Littler having won both previous matches this year.
