Luke Humphries landed victory on Night 4 of the Premier League to extend his lead at the top of the table

Luke Humphries has claimed his second Premier League darts victory of the 2025 campaign with a dramatic 6-4 win over Luke Littler in Exeter.

The world champion finally broke his league duck against the teenage sensation, securing his first win over Littler in eight attempts.

Humphries showed remarkable resilience, fighting back from a 3-1 deficit to clinch the Night 4 trophy.

The victory follows his previous success on Night 1 of this year's Premier League.

Humphries' comeback was a masterclass in pressure darts after Littler had raced into a commanding lead.

The 18-year-old looked set to extend his advantage to 4-1 but faltered with several wayward darts.

This opened the door for Humphries, who capitalised to level at 3-3.

Though Littler briefly regained the lead at 4-3, Humphries won the next leg to square the match again.

A dreadful miss from Littler allowed Humphries to move 5-4 ahead.

He then sealed victory with a timely 180 in the final leg.

The evening began with controversy as Littler was involved in an angry altercation with a fan.

The incident occurred when the teenager was about to hug his mother Lisa.

An over-eager supporter barged her out of the way, prompting Littler to scowl at the fan.

Despite this unsettling start, the young star remained focused on his darts.

The pre-match disruption clearly didn't affect Littler's performance as he went on to progress through the evening's competition.

Humphries' route to the final was far from straightforward, featuring a thrilling contest against Night 3 champion Gerwyn Price.

The quarter-final proved to be a nail-biter with both men missing six match darts each in the deciding leg.

Humphries eventually prevailed to book his place in the semi-finals.

He then produced a commanding performance against Rob Cross in the semis.

This comprehensive victory set up the showdown with Littler, a rematch of their Night 2 final which Littler had won 6-5 in Edinburgh.

Littler's path to the final saw him cruise past Stephen Bunting in the quarter-finals.

The teenage star then knocked out Nathan Aspinall in the semi-finals to advance.

These victories set up his second Premier League final against Humphries this season.

Despite his strong performances earlier in the evening, Littler couldn't maintain his form in the decisive moments of the final.

His early 3-1 lead slipped away as Humphries found his rhythm and capitalised on his opponent's mistakes.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Humphries said: "It felt hard work, but felt good in a weird way.

"I felt like my game was in a good place but in certain moments in the game I struggled so it was a bit strange.

"Luke played fantastic tonight, he didn't play as great in the final but I managed to step on the gas, like I did in the other two games, right at the end of the game, the last two legs were fantastic as they were against Gezzy and against Rob as well."
