Beau Greaves finished her 2024 Grand Slam of Darts campaign with a 5-1 thrashing win over Cameron Menzies.

Beau Greaves has vented her fury at darts bosses for making her choose between the two major world championships due to the scheduling of both events.

The female darts phenomenon has been making waves in the game and breaking down new barriers for female players in recent years.

And she recorded an impressive 5-1 win over Cameron Menzies on Monday night in her final Grand Slam of Darts group match.

Greaves lost her previous two group matches, meaning she wouldn't progress to the knockout phase.

Still just 20 years of age, Greaves has won back-to-back WDF Women's World Championship titles and will return to Lakeside this winter to try and defend her title once again.

The PDC World Championship takes place just a week after the WDF final and Greaves clearly feels it's too tight of a turnover.

She's snubbed repeated invites to play in the PDC major, insisting being a women's world champion is more important to her.

It was also recently announced that the PDC were banning it's tour-card holders from competing in the WDF World Championship.

Greaves doesn't yet hold a PDC Tour Card and is currently happy still battling for the women's crown.

However, she also has her eye on one day playing Alexandra Palace having enjoyed her time at the Grand Slam of Darts this year.

"The ladies' game is massive to me," Greaves said.

"As well as the PDC do, they don't do a ladies' world championship and that's a big thing for me when I was younger.

"I wanted to be a women's world champion and I got that at Lakeside and I wanted to defend it, I did that, so I can't not go back. I don't know why people would think I wouldn't do that.

"It's a difficult decision. I would love to go and play. I've enjoyed playing this year more than I did last year here. I know my results aren't as good but I have enjoyed it more.

"The ladies game is not just made up of me, Fallon [Sherrock], Lisa [Ashton] and whoever. There is a whole bunch of us that need to get better.

"When asked whether she would play both the WDF and PDC World Championships if it was an option, Greaves staunchly replied: "Yeah, absolutely.

"It's a shame they make you choose. I don't understand that, I don't know why they do it. I think it's stupid. I'd love to.

"I wouldn't go and win Ally Pally but I'd give it a good crack and see if I played well - but ultimately I want to be a ladies' world champion."

It was only back in April when a self-deprecating Greaves claimed she would get 'destroyed' on the PDC Tour.

But her time at the Grand Slam of Darts this week appears to have softened her view and the 20-year-old admitted a tour card is on her agenda for the future.

She added: "I would like a Tour card at some point, I just don't know when.

"I'm not in a rush and there is nothing wrong being happy where you are in your life and what you've done.

"I have won a hell of a lot of darts tournaments and I'm not in a rush to do anything so I want to do it in my own time.

"That's my whole attitude to the game: appreciate what you've done and where you've been to get it.

"I've been through hard times so I'm not going to be too hard on myself after this weekend."
