Frank Warren has admitted to worrying Tyson Fury would 'peak too soon' by going straight into a training camp ahead of his fight with Oleksandr Usyk on May 18.
But the boxing promoter is confident the Gypsy King will produce a 'magnificent performance' to win the bout in Saudi Arabia later this month.
Fury enters the clash with a point to prove, having struggled to perform at his usual high level during his fight with Francis Ngannou back in October.
Ever since that narrow win, however, the 35-year-old has been putting in the work in training.

Fury has slimmed down and now looks completely different to eight months ago.
Warren, speaking to talkSPORT, has admitted there were initially fears that the Briton would 'peak too soon' by going straight into a training camp after injuring his eye earlier this year.
However, the 72-year-old believes Fury is capable of producing a 'magnificent display' to rock Usyk and become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
"He's in tremendous shape not just physically but mentally," he said.
"I'm confident we are going to get a vintage performance, I spoke to him during the week.
"He's in a very good shape I think, and although he had that cut it has come good as he has had back-to-back camps.
"Physically I have never seen him look so well. The worry was going straight into a training camp was that he'd peak too soon.
"He has worked really hard so that he is in his best nick on May 18.
"I just feel he is going to put on a magnificent performance and stop Usyk."
Fury will have to be flawless when he faces Usyk.
The Ukrainian has already beaten Anthony Joshua and is unbeaten in all 21 of his career fights so far.
Fury has tried to ruffle Usyk's feathers by mocking and criticising his upcoming opponent.
However, he recently changed his approach by dubbing the 37-year-old 'elite' - with fans then criticising the Gypsy King for his sudden change of tune.
Fury said: “Oleksandr Usyk’s a real bad man and to underestimate Usyk you’d be a mug.

"So I’m training hard for him, I’m doing everything I can. I respect Usyk as a man.
"I respect his career as well – Olympic champion, undisputed cruiserweight champion, unified heavyweight champion.
“You have to respect that, I’m not fighting some guy who’s had 14 and won 11.
"I’m fighting the real deal – as real deal as Holyfield. I’m looking forward to the challenge.
“He’s a southpaw, he’s got good footwork so they say, good boxing ability, technically sound.
