The Gypsy King is preparing for the upcoming showdown in Saudi Arabia
Tyson Fury has taken two risks by fighting Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder in recent years but is now being 'savvy', it has been claimed.
The Gypsy King is currently preparing for his fight with Oleksandr Usyk, with the duo primed to step into the ring on February 17.
Fury will enter that battle out to improve his reputation, however, having struggled against Francis Ngannou last time out.
The 35-year-old was flat despite winning via split decision, with many fans and pundits turning on the Briton as a result.
Tyson Fury has taken two big 'risks' according to boxing trainer Shane McGuigan

Trainer Shane McGuigan thinks Fury underestimated Ngannou.
And he says the Gypsy King has 'sensed there's a danger' when it comes to facing Anthony Joshua, having taken two 'risks' by facing Klitschko and Wilder in the past.
“Did Fury underestimate him? Not really, I think he’s a savvy human and knows the dangers of a guy who is 280lbs and can punch," he told Boxing Social.
"He tried to stamp his authority but then felt Ngannou was better than he thought.
"I wasn’t really shocked.”
He added: “Fury has mastered the skill of talking fights into existence.
"Taking fights that stylistically suit him.
"He took risks against [Wladimir] Klitschko and [Deontay] Wilder, but he’s savvy.
"The guys who are well-rounded, good fighters he has navigated himself away from.
"He’s realised there is a danger in AJ, in guys that are athletic and can punch.”
McGuigan also thinks Fury is a boxer on the wane.
He feels the Briton's last good performance came all the way back in 2020, with 'ring rust' and 'age' factors in his decline.
“He hasn’t really had a good performance since Wilder 2, and hasn’t had a competitive fight since Wilder 3," he stated.
"Ring rust, age, all these things are factors.”
Meanwhile, some feel Ngannou was unfortunate to lose to Fury at the end of October.
And the former UFC star was gutted not to come out on top, especially after knocking Fury down in round three of the bout.
“I was there to fight and to win,” Ngannou stated over the weekend.
“He’s the champion. I had to go after him.
"I wasn’t going there to count. My game plan was not to count him and to survive.
"My game plan was to fight and to win and to dictate my own rule. That was the game plan.

"I’m coming after you to win. In order to do that I have to walk [toward him].”
Fury and Usyk are both unbeaten in boxing.
And whether that changes on February 17 is something only time will tell.
