The Gypsy King lost on Saturday night

Tyson Fury has reportedly told friends that he plans to stay in boxing, despite losing to Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

The heavyweight star had entered the bout looking for revenge, having lost to the same opponent earlier in the year.

Fury was far more aggressive during their bout but it wasn't enough for the Briton to come out on top, with Usyk winning via unanimous decision.

When asked about his future following the clash in the Middle East, Fury was coy.

He refused to commit to more boxing fights in the future - while he also didn't disclose what he was really thinking.

According to The Sun, however, Fury has told close friends that 'it's not over' - despite his disappointment at the result.

Fury was frustrated when the result was read out on Saturday night, with the boxing star making a swift exit from the ring.

He clearly felt he'd done enough to come out on top and, in his post-fight press conference, accused the judges of giving Usyk an 'early Christmas gift'.

Fury fumed: “I felt a little Christmas spirit in there and I think he got a little Christmas gift from them judges. An early Christmas gift.

“I was confident I had won that fight again.

"I thought I’d won both fights, but then again I’ve gone home with two losses on my record. I will always believe until the day I die that I won that fight.

“I’m not going to cry over spilt milk. It’s happened now.

"I know boxing, I’ve been in it all my life and you can’t change no decisions.

“I will always feel a little bit hard done by. Not a little bit, actually a lot. When you don’t get the knockout, this is what happens. You can’t guarantee the win.”

When quizzed on what's next, Fury kept his cards close to his chest.

Prior to his fight with Usyk, the Gypsy King opted to take a three-month break from his wife, Paris, and their seven children together.

And, despite the defeat, he's looking forward to Christmas.

“You might do, you might not do. Who knows. We’ll talk about that next year," he said when asked if we'll see him in the ring again.

“What’s next for me? I’m going home and having some time off. For sure.
