Frank Warren has launched a fierce defence of Tyson Fury, blasting claims that his fighter broke rules during Saturday's heavyweight clash with Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia.
The veteran promoter hit out at accusations regarding Fury's ring attire during the unanimous decision defeat.
"One of the journalists talking about him wearing his shorts up to underneath his nipples... bulls**t is it," Warren told Box Nation.
The 72-year-old was particularly animated in addressing suggestions that the self-proclaimed 'Gypsy King' had worn his shorts illegally high during the bout.

Warren emphasised that proper checks had been carried out before the fight.
"The referee came in the dressing room before the fight. The way he wore them was legal," he explained.
The promoter pointed out there had been no complaints from Usyk's camp about Fury's attire.
"Did you hear one complaint about that from the other side? None at all," Warren said.

He expressed frustration at the accusations, adding: "Some idiot in there who knows nothing about boxing coming out with that and it's just, I don't know, I just find it ridiculous some of this stuff."
Warren also dismissed separate controversy surrounding Fury's facial hair ahead of the fight after Usyk's team tried to make the 36-year-old shave it.
"A non-issue," he stated when questioned about Fury's beard. "A total lot of c**p and a non-issue."

The promoter was adamant that had there been any rule violations, it would have been addressed.
"If it was illegal, then they wouldn't have allowed him to wear his beard," Warren explained.
He further emphasised his point by highlighting common practice in the sport, asking: "How many fighters you seen get in the ring with beards?!"

Fury himself has spoken out about his defeat, suggesting the judges' decision was premature festive generosity.

"I was confident I had won that fight again. I thought I'd won both fights, but then again I've gone home with two losses on my record," he stated.
The British boxer did, however, insist that he wouldn't be lodging an appeal.
"I'm not going to cry over spilt milk. It's happened now. I know boxing, I've been in it all my life and you can't change no decisions," Fury added.
