The Briton is unlikely to retire despite the setback in Saudi Arabia

Frank Warren has confirmed Tyson Fury WILL fight Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch after losing to the Ukrainian on Saturday night.

Fury saw his unbeaten record as a professional ended in Saudi Arabia, with Usyk winning via split decision.

After the bout, the 35-year-old talked up the possibility of a rematch by telling boxing chiefs to 'show me the money'.

However, there have been suggestions he could retire from boxing instead - with Johnny Nelson saying there's a possibility that could happen.

Warren has now confirmed Fury's plans.

And the boxing promoter says the Gypsy King will face Usyk for a second time, with Fury out to avenge his defeat over the weekend.

"He’s back here," the 74-year-old told talkSPORT.

“He’s recuperating and his mood is that he wants the rematch.

"That is already signed for so that will happen.”

After the fight on Saturday, Fury raised eyebrows by appearing to suggest Usyk only won due to sympathy for the Ukraine war.

“His country is at war, so people are siding with the country at war," he said.

"I believe I won that fight, I believe he won a few of the rounds, but I won the majority of them.

“We both put on a good fight. His country is at war, so people are siding with the country at war.”

Yet Warren has defended Fury for his comments and says he made them due to suffering from bipolar.

“I get quite angry. I’ve just got back and I’m reading some of the reports," he told talkSPORT.

"Tyson is bipolar. If you go on the NHS site and look at what the symptoms are of bipolar, some of the things is saying exactly what is on your mind.

“If it’s in your mind, you say it. That is one of the symptoms, unfortunately.”

Continuing his defence of Fury, he continued: “Tyson, you look at him immediately after that fight, he kisses [Usyk] at least three times on the forehead and on the cheek.

“With Tyson, he’s said in the past, ‘I’ve retired’. And a couple of months later, ‘I’m fighting again’.

"That’s unfortunately one of the things that happens with people who suffer from a dreadful illness.

“It was called manic depression years ago, now it’s called bipolar.

"It’s all well documented the problems he’s had down the years. Tyson is a warrior."

Warren, in a new interview, also believes people should be focusing on how Fury graciously embraced Usyk after his defeat.

"No-one has said how the fighters embraced each other and how Tyson kissed him about three times," he fumed.

And Warren also told Simon Jordan that Fury was entitled to not speak to talkSPORT, having banned the broadcaster last year.

"I find it very simplistic. If he is continuously getting stick, he doesn't have to speak to you," he added.

"He is under no obligation to speak to you, and some fighters don't even talk to the press."
